This is a brand spankin new social book club/reading circle where local women can meet to discuss some great books (mostly fiction with a female focus) over a glass of wine or dinner. The group will meet mostly on weeknights in the Albany area and attendance will be limited to encourage intimate discussion. There will be meetings for multiple books each month so readers can pick which one they would most like to read. Feel free to suggest a book!
If you like to read, dine, and discuss some of your future favorite books over a cup of coffee then this is the group for you. We're a bunch of babyboomers (+ or - a few years) interested in gathering together about every six weeks, to discuss a selected book. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month at Mahar's Pub on Main Street in Castleton (a great place for good beer and they also have coffee, tea etc). We read over a bible reading from a list (the Revised Common Lectionary) that goes through the four gospels one lesson at a time pairing them with an Old Testament, Psalm and new Testament lesson each week.
