… In general, the members view the club as an opportunity to broaden their literary horizons, and thus are open to reading most any title. We have a "you read my book, I'll read yours" philosophy. However, we do strive to pick books that will be interesting to read and have the potential to touch, inform and inspire us in some way.We meet on the last Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm (excluding December). We usually meet at Whole Food Market in Belmar, but other locations in or around the Lakewood a …
… We're getting together to share a love of reading and ideas about the books that we've chosen, not to hear sales messages! (We hear enough already!) These meetups are fairly relaxed, so if you weren't able to finish the book or haven't had a chance to read it, you are still more than welcome to come to the meeting just to discuss books in general, laugh, share stories and make new friends! All members are encouraged to post their own books and run their own meetups in the interest of building a …
Many of us have good intentions of picking up a book and reading it all the way through. However, we often start a book, put it to the side, pick up another one and continue this cycle until we have a pile of unfinished books. Some of us have even given up on reading entirely. Root Yoga Book Club offers us a new way to re-build our internal library and to begin reading once again, as well as have support in completing books and discussing them with a like-minded community. Build your library …

Longmont has long been a more conservative community, but that is changing, and there are those who want to expand their minds and hearts as well. We'll get together in a local bookstore to discuss a book, and to explore subjects connected with it. Hopefully you'll come with some stories to share and questions to ask.

This is a book club for folks that love to talk about the book--and are ready to disagree and laugh in the process. From mystery, biography, essays and novels, any kind of book is up for grabs--just as long as it brings new ideas to the table. Being willing to talk about social issues, history, food and character development are required.
